I would say although Horton pays lips service to looking into a merger his intension always has been and still is to emerge with no tie up, then continue running the company himself. This branding was his (poor) choice. I suspect if Parker and creditors can pull off a merger in the near term he will halt any painting and tweak the new livery (still calling it American) to the satisfaction of the new cumulative employee group. It would be like the father telling Ralphie he can take off the bunny suit if he doesn't like it.

just goes to prove that marketing and advertising are the same as the movie studios, unoriginal, rip off others ideas, redo what has been done before with a slight twist. Oh my god i just described airline management.

Someone may have mentioned it... I didn't read the whole thread. But the odd graphic at the very front of the logo. Look closely.
I don't know how to say this other than that it looks like a part of the human female's sexual apparatus, the component that matters if she wants to have fun, if you get my drift.
Am I out of line? Or have I been watching too much PPV porn on layovers.

Exactly what I thought the first time I saw the stupid logo that's misaligned and too far away from the lettering.. looks exactly like a pair of 3D glasses.
Now I see a shark fin with a bloody trail of employee contracts in its wake when I look at the logo. Take a look, you will see what I mean. Almost like they intended it this way just to rub it in our faces.
Either way it's shiiiite. I'm fine with the big letters on the side but that logo is junk.
