Military here, got the denial email.
I applied in October and am wondering if most of the October applicants got denied.

A few pages back, you'll see A LOT of military guys with the 'dear John' letter. The exception seems to be those that actually had a positive outcome. Every single one of my Navy/M.C. buds got the Heisman. Rumor has it, and this is a rumor, not defined by any means, that its a matter of "current hours" for us military guys. In other words, the arbitrary cut off line was somewhere around 400-450ish hrs in the past year. As you know that's a VERY SOLID year for a military guy and once again the exception to the rule. Almost impossible to attain that in the platforms that must of us are in. I'm not saying that's the only reason or the definitive reason to the 'no thanks' letters, and I'm sure a few mil guys slipped in under the radar, but it does make sense if there are that many of us with rejections.

I'm not sure if I remember if there was an hours per last year, I'm probably only at 300-350 hours over the last year. 400-450 is pretty hard to come by for military.
I'll look at my time again, but I'm probably about 90 or so over the last 90 days.
I don't know if that's it, my guess is more on the timing of the app, when you applied rather than the amount of hours in the past year.
I, of course, could be very wrong.

I wouldn't worry, JetBlue is going to open up their window here real soon. I know There is huge potential at Airways, but JetBlue is always a very good option

That seems a bit high for recency of experience. If I recall, SWA wanted 100 in 6 months, CAL was 60 in 6 months. Not saying you are lying or it's wrong, just that 400 seems high.

It seems all those that are shoe ins for dal and ual are not what airways is interviewing. I think with the impressive resumes, they assume you will bail once the others call.
