A couple of friends of mine that are military just got called. I know of 4 in all. But each of them has at least a minor bit of experience with the regionals/civilian flying.

I applied late August and like many other had the "view directions" on my profile, although very briefly. When I didn't get a call right away I just assumed I wasn't competitive. Similar to what kdogger said though, I have been out for a few months and have been flying corporate. Are you still active duty?

It's very odd. I cringe when I read these types of posts and see my fellow military members being overlooked. Only .5% of the population serves in the Active military (an even smaller % that are military trained aviators) and make unbelievable sacrifices yet most companies in the U.S do not acknowledge this. It's pretty frustrating, but hang in there guys & gals.

Those who slogged there way up through the CFI and regional routes definitely paid their dues, just by a different route.
Congrats though to the military guys that do get the call.

It comes down to the fact that there are tens of thousands of pilots out there competing for very few jobs. Due to this a lot of well qualified civilian AND military pilots aren't going to get called. Its not because they don't like your type, you don't meet the qualifications, or you're military. Its because your number just hasn't been picked yet.
Good things will come to those who are qualified, work hard, and have patience.
