What are the competitive minimums for Airways? All I've seen are senior FOs or very junior Captains with less than 1,000 TPIC get the call. Meanwhile guys with 4 or 5,000+ TPIC or Check Airmen don't get called. I even met a guy who had 8,000 hours, 4,000 TPIC get his stuff 'walked in' by a friend (A friend of his made a phone call to an HR guy to pull his app) and got nothing.
Are they purposely calling only people who don't meet the minimums at other majors and can't leave to another job once hiring opens up?

All of the Westies need to ask your fellow AA pilots how they feel about being integrated using the NIC. You will not find any support there for placing a 2005 AWA hire senior to a AA 1988 hire. Point being made this will not be solved for years. Two separate operations are working well, why not three separate operations? It will be in the courts indefinitely.

Big difference this time around is that APA has the numbers to simply enforce their will on the minority (USAPA). APA would represent over 65% of the combined work-group, therefore negating the need for a representational election. Additionally, the CLA signed between APA and Parker lays out a clear timeline to get everything in place. The entire process would take approximately two years.

Four years and still on reserve? Is this normal for the airlines or has US Air been a little stagnant?
I'm coming up on retirement from the Air Force and the civilian side of flying is bewildering! Especially all the labor/union/bid/contract talk!
This forum is a great place to learn, I gotta admit.

Now retirements and aircraft deliveries are drivers of movement.
Georgia22 will move 6-8% up the East list this year.

Okay, cats out of the bag and I will profess my ignorance of the civilian flying world.
