Just got the email from US. Apparently anybody that applied through airways has to reapply through AA now. Awesome.
We are so excited you are interested in joining the new American Airlines!
Weve made great progress toward integrating US Airways and American Airlines, but for now, each legacy airline will maintain individual flight operations. Even so, we will be combining our recruiting efforts. That means, by applying to the pilot (First Officer) position, you may be selected to fly aircraft for either American Airlines or US Airways, although the hiring process and criteria is the same for each airline. If selected, the hiring assignment will be made by the needs of the operation and the Pilot Recruitment team, and is non-negotiable. However, once we complete our integration (including a combined labor agreement), and achieve a Single Operating Certificate from the FAA, all pilots will be flying for American Airlines.
If you would like to remain under consideration for the pilot (First Officer) position with either company, you will need to submit a new application by clicking on the link below. Additionally, if you would like to withdraw your application at any time, you can do so by visiting https://aa.pilotcredentials.com.
Thank You

you know, i heard about the aa app process, but what bearing does this tidbit have on anything in the 'generic info' portion where address and age go...
and shouldn't it just be a generic 'list any military service' under the previous employment/experience section?
