New Hire here on the West side. As previously stated, the health insurance does start day one. And while you may have different options/providers for some of the benefits, everything is pretty much the same on either side. The biggest difference I have found has been in the 401K plan. For easties the company contribution and your ability to put in starts day one and they are 100% vested on day one as well. For the westies, both company and your contribution do not start till the 90 day mark and you are not 100% vested till the 5 year mark. And I'm assuming (we all know what that does) after the JCBA, that vesting issue will get sorted out.
And for people coming up in new classes...I have been treated wonderfully by both sides of the fence. While I was in training in CLT, the east guys were very nice and welcoming even after they knew I was based in PHX and all the west guys I've talked to have been welcoming and super helpful in helping me get my bearings in PHX. All around I have had a great experience so far.

Good luck and hopefully we'll all be flying in the same system together.

In training the last two weeks, we were told it's soon to transition to AA. Those with an app on the US side, but not the AA side, will get an email advising them to migrate their app over to the AA system (PilotCredentials).
Good luck!
