US Airways Calls
No interview prep for me..... I guess it just depends on the person. I did prep myself. Wrote down several stories over my career. Got tips from my friends and was just myself. I couldn't wrap my head around paying someone to tell me what to be like(that's just me). Also no job fairs, or any LOR's before I got the call. I took a few to the interview.
I also applied in every window and I think within 24hrs of the the window opening. Not sure if that helped.
Very positive interview process for me. I enjoyed it.

However, I will say that I was hired long ago back when the internet wasn't the resource it is today, even so I still think the interview prep is a small price to pay for a very valuable experience. If someone can spend all the money, sweat and tears it takes to get to an interview at a major, but they balk at the thought of spending just a little more for an interview, well... pilots are known for being cheap.

My brother has hired hundreds of people (in a different industry) and always said, "I can teach anyone to do the work, but a genuine, personable smile is something no one can teach. You walk through the door without a smile and it will be a short interview."
