I too interviewed on the 25th and haven't heard anything yet. Makes me feel a little better being that it seems neither 24th nor the 25th interviews have heard anything yet either,....The CA acting as "tour guide" did say twice that the "yes's" from interviews earlier in the week would get phone calls before "yes's" later in the week. I know and have read on this site that ppl have been called for a class date in what seems like random chronology, but he seemed emphatic regarding how we'd be contacted nowadays. Take it for what its worth though.....fingers also crossed here!!

I didn't think US said no to a whole lot of people? I was told they hire the overwhelming majority of applicants and that the hard part was just getting the call for an interview. I would assume if you showed up, looked good, had a decent HR session, and answered the questions right on the Jepps, its a done deal. No?

Two of the guys I know that have been hired didn't seem to see a 50% hire rate...they were more inclined to believe it was higher.

I think it varies a lot. The only #'s I have are for a month in late 2013 and I was told about a 1:3 hire rate. Sometimes they hire everyone who interviews that day sometimes they hire no one.
In your opinion what is the purpose? I have a couple thoughts of my own.
