AA said 600 but that was at the beginning of the year. Also does anyone know if the figures quoted are new hires off the street or include returnees?
Also is there a running total of how many people have been hired and class dates this year?

Is that 600 just at AA? Or 600 total for AA and US?

We were told roughly 300-400 at US Airways and roughly 200-300 at American Airlines. This information is almost 4 months old, so things may have changed. A member of management also informed us that The New American and APA are in agreement that fences would be limited (if any) for narrow body aircraft. They appear to be confident that the SLI will be done with the next 1.5 years and are looking forward to the synergies brought on by "mixed metal" and open bidding. Overall, I believe that our airline will be strong position moving forward.

So "lack of evidence" causes you to believe that the more unlikely scenario exists, for which there is even less info to support?
I like you think it would be nice to keep the US process, but now we're merging with the company that used to make guys send a stool sample (no joke). Simple fact, the AA guys are in charge of flight Ops now...the 3 hour meet & greet doesn't jive in Ft Worth.
