US Airways Calls
#3692
Word around school house in PHX is Indoc for airways hires will be moving to Dallas in June. Separate classes for US and AA but all held at the academy. They also hinted that the hiring will be combined and placement (east, west, AA) will be based on current need.

Awesome thread guys, thanks for all the info. I've only read the past 60 pages, so forgive me if this has been answered already..
When interviewees are first notified of their acceptance/rejection, are they put into a pool?..or immediately put into a class? This might explain why some take longer than others to hear.
Is there a link or a previous post listing current gouge? I already have an aviationinterviews.com account.
I've got the interview scheduled for late April. It was a total surprise, and I'm trying to catch up. Thanks!

They were telling us that Indoc in DFW will definitely happen this year. Separate hiring will probably occur until the SOC in April of next year, and like the UAL/CAL merger you'll be on the US East/US West or AA list until it gets integrated together.

The résumé/LORs attachment has a 1.3 MB max. With my résumé and 4 internals scanned together as one document, I was forced to reduce the scan quality (image) to meet the 1.3 limit.
Question for those of you willing to share: from what I understand, most folks that I know who have been called just had only a résumé uploaded. I was wondering if my legible, but degraded résumé/LOR attachment is an issue?
Anyone have any advice/experiences with degraded quality and still got called? Sad, but it does worry me that that may be affecting my chances.
Also, anyone willing to share if they got called on résumé only, or résumé with attached LORs?
Just wondering if I should drop my internal LORs (save them to hand carry) to improve my résumé "image" and possibly my chances?
Thoughts? Thx in advance!

Don't over think it. Airways from what I can tell is one of the most reasonable carriers when it comes to all the interviewing/hiring. Have everything in order and bring a cover letter and LOR's when you interview, don't talk yourself out of the job, don't swear, have good truthful stories that you can substantiate, dress nicely and you're in. No extra curricular activities like a psych or sim eval. It really is that nice, very indicative of how the rest of the company operates. It's a great place to be IMO.

I had a hard time understanding what you were trying to say but no LOR's are needed, no cover letter is needed, just a resume, if you attach more it really doesn't help or hurt from what I can tell I know people who were hired by doing just the resume, resume + cover letter, and resume + cover letter + LOR's.
