US Airways Calls

Seriously? That seems like a very mild requirement and not too much to ask.
Separately; talked with a friend who interviewed recently and it took six weeks for them to tell him "no thanks". Is this standard practice for Airways? Surely they must know whether they want someone or not? Or, does it vary from window to window?

Unfortunately, that's not at all uncommon. Yes or No responses have been all over the map...from a few days to nine weeks. It's unimpressive.

For what it's worth, I interviewed in Nov, took a month to get the yes call, started last month. >9 tot, 7 jet and 5 left seat. CKA and some sim instr time. All guys were competitive.
I applied 4 times starting last year....good luck to all

From a recent union update:
US Airways has confirmed there will be nine new hire classes held from January through June. The movement we are experiencing is due mainly to our retiring pilots. New hire pilots have traditionally been awarded either the E-190 or Airbus 320 First Officer positions; however, the April bid had unfilled vacancies on the Boeing 757/767 so we’ll see some of those positions filled with New Hires!

What was the application window that you received your call from? Any guys with recent interviews care to share what application window they were called from?
