I see no reason they can not have one portal into the company. After the individual is hired he/she would be restricted to which ever side they were assigned to until the SOC implemented unless they went through the complete new hire training for the other side.

I heard recently from pretty high up that they are looking into joint hiring soon (ie before next year). The new hire will be assigned to either AA, West US or East US until the SLI. Not sure how the application/interview process will work, considering that they are very different processes. Also, interesting to note that US Airways doesn't hire many Military at all compared to AA, I was told about 10% mil at US.
Note: I'm not trying to start a mil vs civ debate, just making an observation.

I personally know guys they have turned down at my company and you just have to wonder?!? It's CERTAINLY not interview skills! 8 for 8 yeses with no prep of the guys I know hired there in the last 12 months.
Airways was basically the only place "commoners" (no check airman, ex-military) even had a remote shot of getting an interview, let alone hired. I really hope Airways hiring people remain!

Does anyone actually understand how they hire? Define "great success" lol. Oh wait, I can translate that, "they hired me" = great success.

At least one guy in my class had zero TPIC we were all offered the job by late November, 2013. Someone asked me recently about the 300 TPIC requirement so I said I know it didn't exist then. I just asked the CLT chief (who was in my interview in November) about it last week and he verified that it's a new requirement as of December.
