Apparently not because the interviewers were actually pretty offended from what I hear. Kind of stings to know people are doing this especially when I've been applying and going to what seem to be useless job fairs for the last two years. Staying optimistic for 2014 though, I was told at a job fair that they wanted two classes of 20 a month starting around Feb.

I understand other opportunities come up but at least have the class to say "I've decided to do something else but thanks for the opportunity". Burning bridges never turns out well!
I'm hoping I'll be in one of those classes, keeping my fingers crossed that the interview goes well.

Bad manners. Sounds like egocentric people who don't care that they're wasting a slot someone else would love to be in. We're better off when people like that don't show.

strange, there isn't a better job in aviation than the new american. This is the pinnacle of what an airline career should be. That's just my opinion.

I would agree. Working for US and soon-to-be AA is a great opportunity. Especially since the US interview format is much more straightforward than many other airlines....despite the lottery-style process to get a call.
