US Airways Calls

Got the quarterly re-invite last night. It has been a year of them.
Whoever this application company is it seems they get there playbook and inspiration from the congress and senate. What an on-going insult! It would be laughable if it wasn't for the time and effort it takes to reapply (no returning applicants this time!) and the idea that you want to work at USAIRWAYS only to repeatedly face this steaming coil of a process. I can hear this in a an interview "Tell me about a difficult captain"? "Well, thankfully that's been rare, and nothing as difficult (or stupid) as this application process". Competence in what one does - a real attractor, in this USAIRWAYS completely fails.

Has anyone been able to figure out what app window they are currently calling from? I have 7 total that I have applied for, the last two say under review with an application invite and then this current one from last week that just says under review. When do the keep warm links usually start popping up after the window is open?

They demand the utmost in respect and professionalism but don't seem to want to play by their own rules. Very frustrating for those involved. Maybe its part of their interview process?

Simple economics ! Supply and demand, for every open seat they have 10000 apps, so what do they care on how they handle their app. system and why change it (=extra costs). To help the applicants out ?!?! Ok............

I have to agree with you. I have a friend who did in fact interview and was told he would hear something within a week. After nearly 3 weeks of nothing he called to see if there was any news. They told him they hadn't made a decision yet but a couple of days later he got the TBNT letter.

Yeah they said at the Job fair that a long wait (after the interview) probably means a successful background check and wait for a open class date... Painful but good. Who knows if calling and asking would trigger the thumbs down... Probably wouldn't press to test
