Do F/Os at USAir have to maintain a Class 1 medical or is a Class 2 ok?
Just trying to save a medical a year.

Incorrect. Read your FOM. 1st class is required, but it can lapse to 2nd class privileges. This is only a factor for those ages 40-60.

Sooo.....I'm assuming since there's a new window they are done with the Feb apps. Anyone know for sure? So far I've now had the "view the directions" with the Dec app from last year and I received the July email from the Feb app but still no call.

BTW for anyone who saw the technical difficulty post earlier in this thread it was due to being in "a deployed location" (Al Udeid AB, Qatar). I just got home and had no probs...

US Airways pilots flying as part of an augmented crew (all crews except those on the 737):
First Officers over the age 40: 1st Class physical every 6th calendar month
First Officer under the age 40: 1st Class physical every 12th calendar month

Yes, First Officers are required to have a 1st Class physical

All Airbus crews operate under the augmented crew banner.
A Chief told me the 190 does, as well.
Only 737 crews operate "without the possibility" of being part of an augmented crew and therefore can let their 1st Class lapse to a 2nd and still be company compliant.

So.. someone came up to me and said they heard PIT was going to open as a base again.. I would love to see it. . But I'm not buying it. . And I heard maybe outstation basing maybe in the works. .. Any info would great..
