US Airways Calls

Not everyone is as negative as canoepilot. First off, the likelihood of a merger is anyone's guess: it's way too early to say the deal is toast.
Secondly, assuming a merger doesn't take place, LOA 93 sucks hard but won't last forever. After seeing what DP was willing to offer in the MOU, this pilot group will NOT accept a garbage contract.
Finally, selecting a potential employer based solely on current work rules is a fool's errand. Over the course of a career relative seniority typically plays a far larger role in a pilot's QA than any given contract...and this pilot group is old as s#!t.

In fact, you won't see any new contract any time soon because a new contract means the Nic.

DP made clear that what was offered in the MOU was because an airline the size of the new AA could afford to pay well. You won't see MOU-like wages in a contract without the merger.

You're right I only spoke with nine the day I posted that comment. Will the merger happen or not...no one knows. It's not LOA 93 the ten of us worried about its the long term viability and ability to compete against the other big players. And you're right about not taking a garbage contract after seeing the mou rates.
You don't know many third listers.
