Sorry to say, but I wouldn't count on that one. I've had the infamous "view the directions" on a previous app. No call. I now have the "keep warm". No call. And I've never received a "thanks for playing" email from them so it seems if you don't get a call, you don't get a call and may never get a "no thanks" email either. Not saying it won't happen, just saying already been there and it's very frustrating. I wish they'd either just say yes or no instead of giving me all of these great signs and then having nothing come of it. Oh well, gonna keep trying

Nope...good thing too apparently my "full retard" still shows up on occasion. When LIOG41 replied to you asking about calls I completely skipped the fact that he had already interviewed in July and was responding to the class date part of the question. As of yet, no calls from anyone...

I truly have no idea what the significance of the various status messages means. I was fortunate enough to interview in early June, as was one of my closest friends. My app was "under review" up to the point I was called for the interview, as was his. The ONLY clue something was happening with our apps was that a plethora of rejection emails went out, and we didn't receive one. Two weeks after the mass application rejection, we got called to interview.
The interview itself was a great experience. Everyone was top notch and extremely friendly. No tricks, punches, or gotcha's. Very straight forward, direct, and courteous. I truly felt that they were just trying to get to know me, and that it was less of an interview.
I was fortunate enough to be offered a class date. My friend, was not quite so lucky- hurts, but he will get another shot at it, I'm certain. It took EXACTLY 2 months, to the day, for me to get the yes. My friend got the rejection email 6 weeks after the interview.
Although the application process is a total lottery, the interview is great! The people in the training center were phenomenally friendly. I'm looking forward to getting started. My advise is to keep plugging away at the application process, and apply at every window, as early as you can get your stuff in. Sit back, relax, and ride it out. There is no reason to who gets the call, or why. It's set up like that on purpose due to a hiring discrimination lawsuit from years past. In short, if you want the job, you will get your shot at it. It's not an "if", but a "when", so hang in there. The opportunity ahead is unmatched, and they're going to need pilots...........lots of pilots- 5000 over the next 10 years.

Mind telling us when you got the yes?
I'm assuming 9/16 class?

Not to burst anyone's hopes, but I've never received a rejection from US Air for any of the last three windows (eg. never). Still, no call.
