This is a post someone made on our company forum. It seems to explain why some may have gotten an email....

This is the way the process was explained to me: US request 300 applicants from the 3rd party company with a few requirements to help filter. Once the pool is generated using the requirements the system randomly selects 300 applicants and sends them to US. US then reviews their applications and organizes them into a calling order, where you fall in the order is determined by HR and they do take internal Recs, internships, MIL, flight time, etc. into account. After the calling order pile has been completely depleted the process is repeated until all slots are filled.
So maybe those who got the email were the ones given to USAir by the 3rd party company for further consideration? If so, its a very good sign. But even if true, I don't see the need to send everyone an email and get their hopes up. :/

Thanks for the good breakdown! Is it safe to assume Keep Warm etc means you are at the point that HR is reviewing?

Trying to make sense of keep warm/view directions. Regardless it must be a positive.

Not the USAir forum, my regional airline forum. I probably should have been more clear. The guy that posted what I did above got the info from a USAir chief pilot.

In the directions for the adding a resume section it tells you to include your recommendation letters as part of one PDF file. Resume and recommendation letters as one upload. You may not be able to upload a new resume/letters file until the next window opens.
