The last bid authorized 104 by August. There will most likely be another bid out in 3 months authorizing more. All indications seem to point to continued hiring for the new rest rules, retirements and utilization of newer aircraft which are replacing older aircraft. I don't think there is a net airframe change, the new 321s are replacing the retiring 737s and the 5 330s are replacing older 767s. We did get 5 more 190s but I think they're all here but I could be mistaken. As others have talked about, apply at every app opening and don't take the "thanks but you weren't selected" email too seriously. I got one last year about 2 weeks before I got called for an interview. Others in my class got them while they were in class!

I'll clarify. Yes, I got invited for an interview.
I learned the process through our senior recruiter at my current regional. He knows the airways senior recruiter, and had tried to recommend me. The response was that he'd take it, but it wouldn't do any good...it's all random and totally tamper proof. Then he described the system. Best I know, keep applying in every window, and don't try to make sense of it.

Got the "Application Invitation" today. I DID NOT receive the TBNT email on May 17 and still show "Under Review" on my three submitted apps (Feb 14, 23, and May 1). My Feb 23 app, however, includes the "Application Invitation" link, which coincidentally (or not) previously had the "View the Directions" link. The other two do not have any special links.
I'm holding a shred of hope that the absence of the TBNT email means my Feb 14 app is in queue for an interview call.
I'm curious if those that have already interviewed (or have an interview scheduled) received today's email.
What happens to the "Returning Candidate" page when one receives an interview invitation?

I do notice that the application invitation that is on my under review one does have the date in which I got an email telling me I could re apply under the current opening.... Just odd as I have already applied under that window as well....

Lolwut, are u serious? Are u even aware what's going on? Are u HIGH? If you didn't know US is merging with AA to make the largest carrier in the WORLD. The most mandatory retirements in the WORLD. More attrition than any airline ever. You must have gotten turned down and are bitter. The past furloughs were a direct result of 9/11, bad economy and poor management decisions. For now two of the three are gone. The third is getting tweaked as we speak to integrate some of AA management. Pay is already been changed and agreed on in the MOU and go into effect on POR (09/01/13) which is up to par with UA and DL.
So I'm confused..... Are u a lifer at a regional? Let me guess "can't take the paycut". Your best day at that regional is a junior reserves worst here. There's even guys at SW that are interviewing here now. FACT.
Question... So would you say the same about AA when they start hiring? Sux to be you pal.
