I've had four apps now, starting with Aug of last year under review. Now two invites to apply again with no thanks but no thanks. Crickets.

The low down. Received a call today. Oddly enough, after a down morning and after being short called to a reserve assignment. Got the call in the car. 4 apps, all under review, no thanks but no thanks letter, 121 experience, 6000+total, 2000+ pic jet. Nothing special. It's been said here before, and here it is again. It's totally random, decided by a computer. If you received a rejection letter, the computer found something it didn't like. If not, you've been set aside for review by a personnel committee. Then....you go into a randomized pile for call selection. Long and short...any gouge?

I'm as confused now as much as I'm confused with US Airways application process. So, you got a call for an interview or you got a call saying you got the interview but didn't and if you wouldn't mind, could you please re-apply at your earliest convenience when you see fit but you can only do it with the link below that brings you to the website that doesn't exist and then tells you that you've already applied for that position. Can you please clarify?

Before this gets totally out of hand like the "latest and greatest jetBlue" forum...I was totally being factious there. Cheers!

They told you all of this over the phone?

Seriously, though, congrats!

Do we update the app via the link or just let it be if we have a app in?

What happens to the "Returning Candidate" page when one receives an interview invitation?
I interviewed a few weeks ago and have not heard back yes or no yet, but i also got this email. It's probably just a mass email to everyone with an app on file. I wouldnt put too much thought into it.

My returing candidate page is the same after the interview. One old app under review and the feb app i got called from has the view directions link saying something about an interview scheduled in clt

So, is it good to still be "under review"???

I was at the job fair and only have an app on file for the latest window and haven't received any emails or calls one way or the other. When I pull up the app it still says "under review" though, which I am told is a good thing?

For those of you wondering about the process, they explained it a little at the job fair. Essentially you have to win the lottery when they are pulling apps before anything on your resume/application/letters of recommendation matters. I'm paraphrasing, but our guy at the job fair said as long as you meet the minimum requirements of the application, your stuff stays in the system. When they start pulling applications, they tell the vendor "give us 200 applications that have X, Y and Z". Then the computer randomly pulls 200 applications that have X, Y and Z on them. Only at that point does someone from US Airways look at the application and decide if its worth pursuing further. So...win the lottery...then they look at you as an individual applicant. Hell of a process.

Oh, and it was asked if being at the job fair mattered and they did have people take down your email address. But no straight answers yay or nay were forthcoming. Sounds like you still have to win the lottery to get looked at. Oh well. Standing by to standby...
