That's a bummer! Still, with those credentials, you should've at least gotten a look in.

How far are you away from a degree, if I may ask?

Whether I agree with it or not, just like the ATP, a four year degree seems to be looking like a minimum for the airlines. At least that's how it looks to me, and I'm a noob!

I heard from all my friends at Airways that the four year is a must right now. How true is that, I don't know but something to think about.

On a side note, for those hired recently how many letters of rec did you bring with you? I am thinking to take two internals and 1 check airman letter from my current company. I could have more internals but I am a believer that sometimes more is not better. Thoughts?

I've heard at Delta if you didn't finish your degree in a five year period the computer kicks your app out.

I brought 2 letters of rec from US Airways pilots...both FO's...they seemed happy with it.

Thanks for the response! Did they actually seem to care what was written?

Sweet! I finished my degree in two years. Alas, Delta isn't hiring.

They read through the letters when I handed them over...or at least took a few seconds to glance over them. I doubt it weighed nearly as much as the interview though. If that goes bad I am guessing not too much in the letter will help

The background of those hired in the last two years has varied significantly, but all have had a 4 year degree. At this point, to get a call you have to have it.
