US Airways Calls
#1251
Does anyone here who have received calls for an interview via voicemail recall the call back number? I was in the middle of hearing the voicemail when my phone somehow deleted the message before I could listen to the entire thing, and I'm not certain it was someone from US Airways. Can you please PM me? I think the voicemail included an extension to call after the number. A female left the message. Kinda freaking out here. Thanks!

Please elaborate. Hate to be a Debby Downer, but what guarantees/ protections are there for hired, in class/ waiting class/ interview folks when the merger happens?

11. a. During the term of the MTA, US Airways shall not furlough any pilots who have established and maintain seniority on the US Airways mainline system as of the Effective Date. USAPA will provide, by name, East Pilot “X” and West Pilot “Y” who will be the most junior US Airways pilots afforded this furlough protection. US Airways shall not furlough any such pilot in anticipation of the transaction that results in the formation of New American Airlines or of the operationally merged carrier consisting of New American Airlines and US Airways. The parties intend that this furlough protection will be part of the status quo during contract negotiations pursuant to Section 6 of the Railway Labor Act for a successor agreement to the JCBA.

And they are estimating this date to be this summer/fall, right? It's not the date a merger is announced (possibly in the next week or two), correct?

USAPA is estimating the date to be July 1. It isn't the date of the announcement that matters; it's the date that the bankruptcy court gives approval.
