For the 100th time, it's a THIRD PARTY system that selects the applications to be interviewed. If you meet the mins (and you do) you are then placed In a pool of many to which a third party COMPUTER system randomly selects your profile to be revied by an actual human. So basically if Sully himself wanted to re-apply at Airways there is a good chance his app my never ever get pulled.

I guess I was under the impression that a thanks but no thanks email meant that the third party random computer system, no longer contained your app in the list. Am I wrong?
I guess I thought if you didn't receive said email, then you were just waiting to be randomized.

Hey guys I really need some advise. I made 134K for 2012 at a regional, but I am looking into US Air. Is it worth it? Will I ever break even before 10 plus years? I remember in 1999 and 2000 when US Air was hiring 100 per month, only to put most of those guys on the street. What going to happen to overall seniority when the airline merges with American? This is a wierd industry. I think its better to take crap job for great pay then take a great job for crap pay. Fed Ex and UPS are still the best for pay and retirement.

I guess it depends how long you would realistically have to accrue longevity at your next carrier. Also, what QOL issues would be enhanced or hurt by the move. I don't think its all about money, myself. Living close to base at a company I like working for is a big thing.

Anyone else having trouble getting their resume to update?
I click on "view/edit my attached resume"
Then, select "attach my resume/cv by uploading a file from my computer"
I then hit browse and select the .PDF with my resume and hit "continue"
It then comes back with "below is the resume/CV we have on file for you" with a link to preview. I click the link and it still shows the original resume that I uploaded when I first filled out the application.
Am I doing something wrong, or can you not update your resume once it is attached?

I tried unsuccessfully in December to upload a resume (in the appropriate file extension) and it just wouldn't take it... I ended up just doing the "Type your resume here" option. (the person who did my resume years ago also did a .txt version of it for easy copy and paste into windows like those) I AM able to edit that currently. Still can't upload a resume.
