And just makes you think that it will be raised? The contract will have to be opened. I am pretty sure that management is well aware that there will be no give back on scope..

We did it during the joint contract with NWA because we had different hubs all with feed needs. It would have to be approved. But remember large turboprops go toward the cap numbers, there are no more "unlimited large turboprops" thanks to the TA and subsequent contract.

Island Air is in the process of getting some ATR-72s to replace their old Dash-8-100s. Penn Air is there filling in while the Island Air guys go to training.

Delta merging with Hawaiian, never thought of that one but it sure does make sense in regards to fleet and potential connections. Delta utilizing HNL as a hub to compete with UA's Guam hub.

I hope Hawaiian stays independent, with all these mergers the airlines will lose any and all character they once had.

DAL Hawaiian is probably the easiest one to envision out there right now. Little overlap, good fleet commonality etc etc etc...

There isn't any contract. No official decisions yet on aircraft type or routes. While this has been a longstanding concept that was negotiated with both ALPA and AFA, it's still very early days.
