Read the TA, listen to the news and then read Delta's 10K and vote from there. None are pretty!

Still on the fence and we'll see how it goes....

All business decision that only help us because it's an attempt to create a SUSTAINABLE business model. Those decisions only help us gain more as well. If we never merged with NWA, we would not even be getting the pay raise we have received thus far (53% from 2008 through the end of the TA if it passes). What other pilot group can say that? There's still more coming but the business HAS to be able to support it or we will lose it all again. What's so difficult about that? Do you want to go through that again seeking after a pie in the sky lottery payout? The management folks are doing their job (and a good ne in my eyes) of creating a company that generates SUSTAINED profitability. If you wanted to make what they make, you should've checked the box that had management next to it but I guarantee you wouldn't like the job because it's never over. You wont have 4-6 days off at a time.

Yes, just for investment reasons, not to help out with international feed connections or to attack the number 1 cost, fuel prices.

So in your opinion, what else should we be doing as pilots to sustain profitability for our mgmt?

That's the contradiction that we live with. For us to do well the company has to do well but we still have to hold mgmt's feet to the fire to try and extract the most value. The most positive example I see is SW but some would argue SWAPA is in bed with mgmt, maybe so but it's worked out well for them.

No problem. We don't need to be throwing punches at each other. Let's just debate the pros and cons of the TA in a mature manner.

BTW, I'm a NO vote now.

It's not "for our mgmt". It for our company which will only help us achieve the type of pay rates we are all looking for. This isn't about us vs. them. It's an us for us. Without DAL, we wouldn't have a job at DAL. So therefore, let's make DAL better which will only make us better.

So adding more outsourced flights and investing more in foreign airlines will make Delta better which will make us better.
