The first 2.5B will be paid at 10%. Anything above $2.5 B will be paid at 20%.
Example: DL reports a $3 billion profit.
$2.5B X 10% = $250 million (pilots get about 1/3 of that)
$500M X 20%= $100 million (again, pilots are 1/3)
Total profit sharing pool is $350 million, with pilots getting about $117M
By converting a portion of profit sharing to pay we capture the difference between our actual PTIX and $2.5 billion. Last year our PTIX was $1.522B It paid pilots about $76 million. Looking ahead, the new plan would pay about $51 million. So for a $25 million hit to profit sharing we increased pay by about $260 million in 2013 alone; that's a net $235 million positive when compared to the 2011 number.

Exception: Up to five aircraft certificated in the United States for 19 or fewer
33 passenger seats may have a maximum certificated gross takeoff weight in the
34 United States of 99,900 or fewer pounds,
Would this be the NBA charter jets? How many people do we usually fly on those?

Its BS IMHO. Those are our jobs, 100%. Bought and paid for with our scope and we're giving them up so the company can play NetJets with non union off list pilots with bigger and bigger planes. Oh and bonus, if we furlough they won't hire our pilots unless they resign. Wasn't that supposed to make everyone angry, or are we cool with that now?
