Maybe it's all in the approach.
Ditto on every carrier I've rode on.

And very few things annoy me more than someone who really loves using the PA.

The DAL IT is improving, still a long way to go and an even longer way to go before we start "bragging" about it. I'll leave it at that.

I will certainly tell her myself if I ever hear something like that. I might not be very diplomatic either.

Does God have a return policy? If he gave me that voice, I'd give it back.

I think you may have just blown a massive opportunity by being forgettable.

I could sell you as a sleeping aid. I've never heard anything more boring in my life.

Shave off your beard and wear a dress. You would be a great female impersonator.

If your lifeguard duties were as good as your singing, a lot of people would be drowning.

You came in, you called yourself champagne and you sounded like house wine.

I presume there was no mirror in your dressing room tonight.

My advice would be if you want to pursue a career in the music business, don't.

If you had sung like this 2,000 years ago, people would have stoned you.

You look a little odd, your dancing is terrible, the singing was horrendous, and you look like one of those creatures that live in the jungle with the massive eyes. What do they call those? Bush babies.

ahhhh... but if just ONE PERSON says that was great...

I thought DL IT set the bar pretty low, but these guys have managed to use a system that isn't even capable for their merger (or is it acquisition?)

They actually decided that neither system was adequate, hence the need for a completely new one.

But why should I try and inform you about any of this since it is painfully obvious that you are the all knowing authority on all things Southwest.

Lighten up Frances! Your are letting the good natured ribbing get to you.... We are all in the same boat of "can't to Squat about it anyway".

Now I am certain that no one is making fun of the way AT was backed into a corner and had to sell their soul so they can feel the LUV. It just is not in their heart that they are feeling it!

And of course Shoelu has absolutely no response to that last comment about the AT guys.

Well, Ive been trying to lighten up as instructed. I've been on the record many times about the situation, but if you want to hear it again.

I was against any acquisition from the start. I was obviously not consulted, just as I'm sure you were not.

I expected the union that represents me to earn their dues revenue and protect my best interests to the best of their ability. I expected nothing less than their best effort to secure the best deal they thought possible in the specific situation with the specific set of circumstances.

I was one man with one vote and I voted in a manner that I saw fit to best protect my career and my family.

In the end I was only a pawn in this big chess game. I was not on the Board of Directoes that approved the deal. I was not on the negotiating commitee that brokered a deal between the unions. My biggest part of this was my one vote.

I fully realize that the folks on the AirTran side had just as little influence or even less than I in this process. I have no ill will toward any of them and will welcome them to the Southwest side of the partition.

You expected your union to secure the best deal but you soon will all be on the same list. Why not have the union for Southwest pilots make the best deal for all Southwest pilots? Were the Airtran pilots not SWA pilots at the time SWAPA was working against them?
