JetBlue & Frontier?
It's no secret that Bryan Bedford of Republic is actively trying to sell Frontier.
Can anyone on this forum point out some factual information that indicates an interest in Frontier?

Not factual, but educated speculation. B6 and F9 would be a perfect marriage when you consider the product and fleet. Unfortunately for F9, there is a reason they have not remained profitable. The year round high price yields just don't exist in the MidWest, I.E. Denver. B6 IMHO just does not see a bunch of profit potential in Denver, especially going up against SWA and UCAL. The East coast (Business Market), Caribbean and Latin America with some West coast addition is where you will see B6 grow, IMHO. Unfortunately the profits just aren't there for a B6/F9 marriage.

I would really like to see this happen because F9 is a good company. JetBlue and Alaska thrive on their partnerships with larger airlines and unfortunately Denver isn't on a coast, so the international motivation isn't there. If I had to guess, F9 guys are going to be Southwest pilots. If Southwest had those gates, they would make a killing there.

Bedford and the RAH BoD want to make money via a Frontier IPO. That will happen prior to any additional consolidation.
Spring or summer outside investor.
Early 2013 IPO.
Merger Acquisition with another LCC.
Or we go out of business tomorrow.

Why would SWA "make a killing" by getting the A Gates? They pretty much own the entire C terminal and the inability to taxi under the skybridge makes ops out of there a pain. Unless SWA plans on going international out of DEN there's no big draw to the A terminal.

I do take issue with false (or ignorant) statements. Centerline clearance on AA or AS is 42', no problem for any 737. For Frontier, only the 318 is restricted.

Really? According to the book of Jepp there is 42' of vertical and 118' of horizontal clearance when taxiing on the centerline. A 737-700 goes 41' 2" by 117' 5" -- way too close to risk one's career on -- so who's ignorant and uninformed?

If it came to it, Denver would move Concourse several dozen feet north, and raise the bridge 5 feet for Southwest.

Nothing more I would rather see than to be rid of the F9/YX/Lynx boondoggle. But, BB is only representing the supposed sell off - making a "good faith" effort in his LOA with FAPA.
Ironic that Good faith should be used to in a sentence talking about a corrupt man who uses catholicism as a "christian" political footstool podium.
still duped?
