Actually, this windfall for the UAL execs is a good thing. It will, and should, provide the catalyst for the UAL pilots to unify and reclaim what was taken away.

You would think. Those pilots at UAL should be so lucky. We all know how it will play out though.

I hate those bastards. My father in law is now selling his house because he's 56 and has no pension. About a year ago, Tilton was riding in first class and came up to the cockpit to ask the crew how they were doing and to thank them for their sacrifice to raise "morale". My father in law explained his situation. Tilton's response, "That's life."
******* U Tilton.

Thats just wrong. UAL isn't even solidly in the black yet and already he's fattening his pockets. God forbid they give back to the employees what was taken. And Im building hours as a CFII/MEI why?

Tinpusher, You are right, it is JUST WRONG. Unfortunately this is right out of the Wharton MBA Airline CEO playbook.
Now that he has run a once Great Airline into the dirt, now that he has destroyed the lives & careers of UAL's employees , now that he has recieved his BIG pay raises and bonuses: Just watch. I give him another 6 months and he will leave UAL with another 50-100 million attached to that Golden parachute. The question is which is the next Airline he will "Run" and I use the term loosely.
