Logbook

In addition to the standard ASEL and AMEL columns, I keep Turbine, Turbine PIC, CE560/Encore, CL65/CRJ, and BAE4100/Jetstream columns. But it's also easy for me to add extra columns since I have a spreadsheet (in Jepp format) to log time into. I also have separate columns to break out flight simulator and flight training device times.
I put sims and FTD's in the same "flight simulator" column. They are both groung based flight simulators. One with motion and one without.

I break it out simply because level D time can meet certain currency requirements (landings)... Not that it matters anyway... I really don't think that anybody really cares about it in an interview, except to show that you can pass a simulator training event. It is kind of cool to keep a running tally of though... as of my last recurrent, I've spent the equivalent of 6 1/3 days (152 hrs) in a box that's on motion...

Yea, instrument and landing currency at an airline is not a problem. No need to log anything with recurrent training every year. I have 13.9 days in a simulator. That's a lot of darkness. My last sim training on the 767 was the same sim the whole time. FTD's without motion and the sims with motion: same simulator. Different cost though. I trained in the -300, but I fly the -200 & -400 model. Whatever?
