Reserves get 70 min. but have 13/14 off on 30/31 day months and are ALL on long call (12hr.), can be assigned a shortcall period 6 times a month, and its not a strict 2 hours, but "readily available". If they volunteer for off-day flying its paid over guar. and you get the day off restored. So yeah, maybe for a reserve in pure dollars...maybe.

The lineholder min. is 65 at DAL but that isn't what lines are built to. The average line value varies monthly between a range of 72:00 and 82:00 and you can bid to have your line fall +/- 7:30 from that number. Most DAL pilots are flying about 75-80 per month. (my May line was almost 78 hrs.(18 days off), July line is 86.5 hrs(17 days off).

Of course it depends on which we are talking about, but generally, yes. It sucks that bad.

I've never understood this thinking. Why would it dilute it? even if Delta only flew 65 hours, they are still getting the same pay, and WORKING LESS!!! Why do people want to keep wages the same and raise monthly guarantee???? Who wants to work More?? I just want to be paid more for what I do. It's the hourly that really matters. The only way it would matter is with reserve guarantee. But even then, it's just that much more you have to work before you start getting paid more for the flying you do. Raising the guarantee is the worst bargaining tactic.
