Delta to consolidate training centers

I figured this would eventually happen, I was just hoping to not see VA for a few more years. The next thing will be training by CD.
In MSP the ride to the schoolhouse was about 10-15 minutes. I'm not sure what our options in ATL are, but maybe we need to look at getting training hotels in a better location. Downtown is a little longer than 15 minutes especially during rush hour times, but I'm sure there are other nice locations that are safe and within a reasonable distance of VA that we could stay in. I've honestly felt more unsafe on VA during training than I have in any location that I've ever stayed in on a layover. Crew members getting mugged and murders in the parking lot of the hotel just shouldn't be put up with.

But it's not necessary to ensure safety because Atlanta is incredibly safe.

As to Cobb county, it is nice but how is that drive with 75 north of the perimeter?
I live near Lake Lanier in cheaper Forsyth County. With no traffic I've made it in 50 min to the airport doing around 70 mph most of the way. 50 min + 20-30 min for the bus puts me at 1:20-1:30 from door to crew room. An ideal location to me was Dunwoody. Expensive and homes are not necessarily new, but you're right there on the perimeter and can take 85, 75, 285W or 285E to get to the airport and 285 either way is fine in the morning and you can go full speed. In the afternoon only 85, 75, 285W and 285E are backed up beginning at 3pm until 7pm.
Remember with ATL, you can do 90 backwards through downtown but never ever drive in the HOV lane by yourself. Sage advice I once received when I moved here.

Was Lee Majors a bad ass?
I dont know how you deal with 78.
What's funny is its only 35 min to go 40 miles once I hit the interstate but 35 min to go 10 miles towards Lawrence illegal airport.

ATL isn't the only place. I've been in the TPA hotel when they had a tatoo artist convention, and the SLC hotel when, two weeks ago, they had a tatoo convention, and last week, when they had ConDuit, which is a gamers convention. Got to sit next to Zelda at breakfast.
