I second the comment from freezingflyboy about getting back to airlinepilotcentral from this site. I also think that a pilot only forum would be nice to see.

Another forum to look at is the AOPA forum.

Thanks for the helpful comments.

We agree about being able to link back to the "mother" site. Look for that ability in the near future...

I guess I'm just an optimist but I have about 8 apps out there to airlines that are hiring - that's not all of them, but it's alot. And at last count I think I figured about 2500 pilots hired/year at those carriers. I do think it will pick up some more in the future - I'm just wanting to move on now!

Another decent, free site:

jetcareers.com.

If you had an account at flightinfo before the $10 charge policy went into effect, then you were grandfathered in, and thus, did not have to pay.

Clearandamillion.com is another pilot forum. It seems to be a younger crowd with a lot of CFIs and corporate pilots. It was formed after the implosion at flightinfo.

^What he said. PPRuNe is a HUGE forum (~500,000 members), and has a section for just about everything.

It's so popular that I've seen people make comments about a particular aircraft, only to have the pilot of that aircraft realize it's him and respond.

flying.org has been redesigned with vbulletin. It also has a new photo gallery.

We've been talking about about starting several (free) forums here that are only available to those who can prove their credential as pilots. We recognize the need to have both public and private dialog. As soon as we can draft a workable privacy policy to deal with the submission of pilot credentials you can look for a similar product here.

Is anyone interested in seeing that here?
I'm in. Tell Freight Dog to look me up in the union website. That should be enough credentials, no?
