Default flying.org

I've been working on flying.org for a while.

I think it is about done and I'll say it is in 'beta':-)

I've been trying to build it to be different than a basic forum site, because we already have a bunch of great forum sites around. So flying.org is more like a blogging site. I have forums on the site, but every user also has a blog and photo gallery.

http://flying.org

All opinions are certainly welcome and appreciated.

One of the founders of ************* lives up the road and I can't enough good things about him.

We've been talking about about starting several (free) forums here that are only available to those who can prove their credential as pilots. We recognize the need to have both public and private dialog. As soon as we can draft a workable privacy policy to deal with the submission of pilot credentials you can look for a similar product here.

Is anyone interested in seeing that here?

Either you haven't been there lately, or you haven't been paying attention.

I haven't been there since Thanksgiving and I knew that - - it's been spread all over the place. It started about 3½ months ago as a reaction to *************.

Great idea. Then we can rip each other out of the public eye! Just kidding. It sounds like a good idea.

Just in case you haven't seen "the rest of the site", I encourage you to look at each airline you're interested in here:

http://airlinepilotcentral.com/airlines.html

Each profile has updated hiring information (with application info for those hiring).

Hey HSLD love APC and APC Forums, they were invaluable during my job search but just a thought: I've always wished airlinepilotcentral was more obviously and easily linked to airlinepilotforums. It easy to get to the forums from airlinepilotcentral but going forums back to airlinepilotcentral is less obvious and harder to do. The only link I see is the little one at the bottom of the screen and I only found that after some searching. Just my 2 pennies for ya.
