THe people leaving are somewhere midrange seniority. Many A's I've flown with lately haven't budged a number in a while. I moved up 10 this last month. It's varied between 1-10 a month, and I'm a tad north of 10% up the list.

Gotcha. Didn't really consider that possibility. So guys in the midrange are retiring before 65? I've heard pilots are going out around 62 or so.

As a new hire in Sept 2010, I was at 12,175...now I'm at 12,122, movement of 53 over 9 months. Just an observation as I look at my schedule.

Is pointing fingers really necessary, or is that what this forum has been reduced to?
<insert childish comment of, "Carl did it first, I saw him.">
Something I'd expect from my children....................no wait, they have more self respect than that too.

Almost all of the pilots that retired during the last perp were Northwest guys. Almost 25% that put their papers in backed out. After the perp, there were virtually zero retirements for six months. If we do another perp, I am guessing about 60 would take it followed by six months of zero pilots retiring.
