You mean covered in grease and de icing fluid? Sweating like a pig because of the underpowered antiquated AC system? That dignified?

Yes. That's what I was talking about. White polo will show the sweat stains. Although this is a Boeing modified MD95. Eventually they got it right.

Since so much change is coming to SWA, maybe they can simplify things by using AirTran's "hour based" system and SWA's pay rates. Unless the TFP thingy is part of the culture.
That would be a pay cut. No thanks. Why would I want to get paid for 75-90 hours, when I can get paid 95-110 TFP.The payrates would have to go way up to cover the difference.

Yes a trip is DAL-HOU or 243 miles.

Did Boeing actually modify it? Or did they just rename it? The MD95 was the best DC-9 built.

I believe the modification was the name, hopefully they left everything else untouched.

Historically, it hasn't mattered much, but you can always hope.

Don't delays change that equation? With an Atlanta base, known for holding and ground stops, what do you do? Do you have guarantees?

DHR would kick in or flight time if engines are running from the gate.

We can only hope that the lesbian-golfer-chic look goes away.

I think the company has been focusing on trying to make our FA's look more professional but it seems like they've had more misses than hits in that department.
