Diesel - Yes it is. It has to match your string of RSV days (i.e. requesting a 4-day trip for a stretch of 4 days RSV). Make sure you submit the request under the "Pilot RSV OpenTime Bid East Coast" tab in Flica. Lastly, they run the requests at 7am for the next day. So you have to submit the request by 7am on Thursday for a trip that begins on Friday for example.

Good luck!

also you must be under 55 hours for the month.

This is supposed to change when they fully implement FSM2010.

What expect direct said.

Also, until they turn on the 2010FSM (what year is it now?) don't go picking up time on your days off while on RSV unless they offer it to you for JA. If you pick up on your day off it goes to monthly credit, not total credit. Basically you go to work for extra day for free.

Thanks for the heads up! Been busy reading the FSM trying to figure it all out. Are we ever going to see aggressive pickup?

My personal guess is it will happen next summer, but will only be a month-to-month option that the company can turn on/off. Probably open it up during the busy summer months and close it during the slow season.

That sounds like a pretty likely scenario. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.

The true issue lies in some bean counters desk. See, they think that if we allow pilots on rsv to pick up open time over garantee they'll be paying pilots even more to do nothing.

Reality says that this is true. However you will be able to reduce the number of RSV pilots by well more than the money you lose. At the end of the day, if a RSV pilot can pick up above 75hrs there will be virtually 0 open time. RSV pilots will just be there for sickouts and IROPS. Your head count goes down. saving $$$$ that's the theory .
