Possibly a June 15th though.
Thanks, I have changed so many plans in the past two months in anticipation for a class, I hope it will happen soon. I have had a similar situation in 2008, got hired and even a class date, a week before the class, it was cancelled followed by furloughs. thankfully, I have had time to withdraw my resignation and stayed in my current job, I'll hate to see it happen again.

Any more info on this? Was wondering if someone that may know can shed some light on if they are in fact going to cancel classes for whatever reason... Or if this is due to scheduling and training department backups? Thanks for whatever info you can pass along..

probably because of training backups. This and the fact that they need to get some upgrade/transitions in. I have not heard of any cancellations of classes. Classes will continue although I'm not sure as to why they put 3 weeks in between the may 25th class and the June 15th class. Things are busy right now at OSC. I did meet two of the four people in the may 2th class this afternoon. One was an afternoon interview on the 9th and one was a 830 interview on the 10th. It looks as though they are starting to get into 10th candidates now. I am a tenth guy that was asked to attend at the last minute for the 11th class. The other 10th was given 2 weeks notice of class. So 10th guys and gals it's a comin', hang tight.

Thanks for the info! Any word on if training is now starting to shift back over to the e190?

I am sure this has been answered before on previous threads but does anyone know how many were hired from the Feb 10th interview date?

Thats what I have heard from the instructors, mostly E190 for the rest of the year with some random Airbus here and there.

I had a similar situation in 2008 as well at UAL. My contact at JB said that the 3 weeks between classes has something to do with upgrades but I am no expert. I am just looking forward to getting thru Phase 2 and getting started. I am actually hoping to get the 190 as it is fairly similar in avionics as the planeview I am used to in the G450.
Good luck to all the may 3 phase 2 candidates in the same boat as me.

Here's a couple of questions. When do you find out your assignment in regards to aircraft and hub? Is it on day one of training? It's my understanding that the selection is done by birthdate. Is that still correct?

Typically you will find out your aircraft and base on the first day of class. It is done by date of birth.

3 out of the 4 guys in may 25 class were 2/9 and one from the 10th. They are telling us another 200 new hires through the rest of the year with classes running through the summer. As whiskey mentioned most slots for the foreseeable future are Embraer however that could change pending next weeks system bid.
