I fly for a Delta Connection carrier and commute on mainline weekly; I agree with you. If I had to pay for that product, I would take my money elsewhere.

Man, why'd you have to add that last bit? Now I'm in the corner rocking and twitching. That's how crew scheduling at Pinnacle ended all their e-mails when you were either denied something or they were trying to get you to do something illegal or against the contract....

Exactly! And most of the general public agrees with you. They want to fly on JetBlue. That's why all these guys from other airlines are keeping such a close eye on us. Furthermore, the union wants to represent us, so they can pad their pockets. That's the bottom line. They know just like most of us this airline makes money and is going places. Alpa was able to convince about 10% that it's a good idea. Now they can spread there hate and scare tactics. The only comeback they ever have for me is to discredit. They try to make me sound new, ignorant, uneducated, ect. It a common tactic of groups that use force. If they can discredit me they don't have debate what I am saying, which they can't.

For those wanting to apply don't listen to the haters. JetBlue is growing, making money, and is a great place to work.

I see your point but I think you underestimate the CBA movement. I cant stand ALPA but I still see the need for a CBA. I would love to see a vote on a CBA and then leave representation to be decided after but that is not the world we live in. Take a look at how much time, energy and money is wasted on PVC crap, our little pay raises and fighting the pilot union.Think about how much better JB would be if all that energy was spent on expanding our business. A CBA creates fixed costs for management to work with (at least for pilot labor).

Ok, I need to take some issue here. It wasn't 10%, it was 40%. (were you here during the vote?) Since then that number has most certainly increased with the new healthcare changes. Listen, Jetblue is great... the majority of us really like it here. I enjoy the folks I work with, I like the company, I even like Dave. I want jetblue to succeed, flourish, and grow. I also need to look out for my career, and a union is the only way to do that. We are naked in a transactional event, we have sub par benefits, and average pay. No one except for the 1% are looking to kill the golden goose, the majority of us that are YES votes are not negative dudes, but we approach work with eyes wide open and understand the risks of operating in our industry without protection, and thus we reject slurping the bluejuice. Its great you like it here, I do too, but I also see what we are lacking compared to our peers.

As for your earlier Delta posts... grow up. Every airline has bad apple gate agents and flight attendants, we are not immune to that. The vast majority of Delta guys are pure professionals as are their cabin crews. I will say that Jetblue has a lot of great agents too, especially at our hub airports where other airlines often have their issues. The biggest downside I have seen with some majors *cough* US Air Philly *Cough* is that their AO crews tend to get a little jaded at time, but if our agents had their pay and benefits slashed in multiple bankruptcies, we might have crews that act similarly.
