"Latest and Greatest" about jetBlue

ALVBR211: Your a jerk. I wish you would leave jetBlue and this forum. You state your closed minded opinions like they are facts. On your poolies post when you stated all the companies better than JetBlue based on hourly pay- dead wrong. Those companies might have a higher pay by hour, but are far inferior companies. The last ten years have shown that. If that is not enough for you, wait until after the next ten.
Hockey pilot: compensation can be more complicated that hourly pay. JetBlue pilots can make verygood wages. Year 3 FOs on the 190 make over 100k on a regular basis. Compare that to the other carriers and they are doing well, plus people enjoy their jobs and most are happy. Places like Delta are full of miserable people like Alvbr211. How would you like flying with a entire crew just like him?

Wow. Where to start???
It has already been proven by numerous sources that B6 Pilots are compensated below average! Why is this lost on you?
Have you been studying Industrial Psychology long?
DAL full of miserable Pilots? What kind of study brought you to that conclusion and how many Pilots were in your population sample?
Unbelievable!
I would like to apologise, on behalf of this individual, to any Delta Pilots reading this thread.

And facts can be used to make any point you want. "Facts are the facts" is about as week as "because I said so". Please come back with a better argument then that! By the way all you convey is the negative aspect you have on life not any sort of harsh reality you speak of. I recently turned down UAL to stay here at JB and you call JB a stepping stone airline to the majors. Please by all means step on to the next airline and let the rest of attempt to better JB.
I believe you posted this:

I understand business statistics. I understand Jetblue Pilots are compensated below average. I understand this is very unlikely to change under the current model.
This is NOT my opinion. THIS IS FACT.
Seems like like we share some views. Where are we getting our lines crossed?
This is business. And, in business, I see no value in sugar coating.

HAL..Airline Pilot Central - Hawaiian | Legacy
UAL..Airline Pilot Central - United | Legacy
AAL..Airline Pilot Central - United | Legacy
AMR..Airline Pilot Central - United | Legacy
-AMR pilots will receive a raise if merger occurs with US.
-AAL pilots in contract negotiations.
-Most of the above carriers have profit sharing plus an average of 13.5% retirement. All above carriers retirements are not matching and require no contribution from the individualpilot.
-Above mentioned carriers have better health care, with annual cost increases controlled contractually.

I may be a sarcastic agitator, and I abhor kool-aid guzzlers. But I do consider myself lucky to be where I'm at, and I like it here. I have not flown with the "miserable people" you refer to. Sour grapes, perhaps?
Good luck with everything. If nothing else, I'll be glad to buy a shoe shine from you when your non-unionized pilot group gets asspounded in your all-but-certain acquisition. Or maybe your individual "contract" will save you?

Apparently JB doesn't require a degree. Or a high school diploma. Or a clue.

Trust me, you would abhor them more if there were so many around you that they dragged you down with them.
A college education is not required. And, some are just so giddy to be flying something bigger than an RJ, they would accept any terms imposed on them.
Sour grapes? In Trkytr's case it could be. Some of these guys just wanna "believe" so badly. Kinda like "convincing" yourself your Ford Taurus is every bit as good as the M5 BMW everyone else is driving. Seems like he's a newbie so he's a bit green. Maybe he'll learn. A lot of people are trying to get through but nobody is home right now.

I see the need for a CBA, as you do. I don't see JB as a stepping stone airline to UAL SWA or UPS. I see great potential at JB and great opportunity. I see the CBA as a tool that will help the pilots and the company realize and capitalize on this potential. I see too much time and energy spent by management on these little pay raises and fighting the union drive.
It's going to happen soon, or not at all.
Interesting times!
