Then compare JetBlue to the small, very small, number of airlines that have not gone bankrupt.

Alaska Airlines...equal or higher pay and much better benefits. Contract amendable April 2013.

Southwest Airlines....need I say more?

Continental had better benefits....

In most recent history DL and UA just negotiated better pay and have had better benefits then JetBlue. American has better benefits and they are still in bankruptcy. Hawaiian has better pay and benefits.
What do all these carriers have in common? Unions and all but one in this paragraph are ALPA. Pretty simple to me, you want better pay and benefits? You need the power of a union.

Name an Alpa carrier that has not taken concessions or went bankrupt? My buddy is miserable over at Continental now United and their work rules. Alpa did pinnacle good on this last TA huh? I prefer to gain than gain and lose. Makes it tough to budget?!

Why?

JetBlue Pilots are compensated less than union Pilots. This is the case with both Airlines that have gone through bankruptcy and those that haven't. It makes no difference.

Why do you suppose that is?

Work rules? JetBlue Pilots have NO workrules!!!!

Concessions?????

JetBlue Pilots can't even get the kind of pay and benefits paid to legacy Pilots under concessionary contracts, never mind what they have now!!!!!!!

In other words, Pilots at previously bankrupt Airlines are still better off!

You prefer to gain????

Your comp and benefits are below average. Where is the "gain" you speak of???

And, I have no idea why you are even mentioning Pinnacle in this forum.

The reason he mentioned Pinnacle is that Pinnacle is an ALPA carrier that took a large concession recently. Unions mean everything, right?

Would you rather be miserable with better pay & benefits, or miserable without them? Work to live brother, not live to work. I have fun at home, I go to work to make money

It's still comical the comparisons between a regional and JetBlue. Pinnacle is a small lift provider. JetBlue is a major airline.
It's not apples to apples.

You may negotiate directly with pinnacle management but in the end all of the revenue is based of pinnacles contract with the major airline.

JetBlue negotiates with JetBlue.

If pinnacle didn't have ALPA things would be worse.

Some of you really need to learn economics and management.

I will definitely vote no in the next union election because my buddy at continental is unhappy with united a work rules.
