"Latest and Greatest" about jetBlue

What if you're looking for more than "a great time"?
What if you are looking for a "rewarding career"?
A "great time" is something Pilots have at flying clubs!

If that's your idea of a great time than this is awesome!!!!!

I'm sure I'm not.
These boards are frequented by Major Airline Pilots who have fought long and hard under collective bargaining to enhance the profession. And, they are making headway!
Meanwhile, the attempts to rationalize sub std comp and benefits at B6 is mindblowing.

Funny, my experience has been the exact opposite. Maybe you should have stayed at your last company that was so amazing.

I don't really see any significance to your complaints in this video. The management does not want a union. The pilots voted, and no union. These people are happy cause it's was there job to keep the union away from JetBlue, they feel it's for the best interest of the company. They see it as they educated the pilots and won the votes. They are not the pilots that voted no, they were just doing there job, geez.

Yeah I know right. My friend at united has a way better contract. Better pay, insurance, gauranteed seniority advancement. He only had to be unemployed twice in the last 10 years for multiple years each time. I wonder how much more he has to make a year to make up for those years with zero income. If he would of went to B6 on his first furlough he would be a Captain making way more than his FO pay at united. So I guess it's really just how you look at it.
JB even reduced your already substandard health insurance without bothering to talk to you or YOUR insurance committee reps. Oh well, they were smiling while they did it, and I am sure you enjoy that pleasant atmosphere. The details just don't really matter.
Despite the "nimble relationship" and the lesser benefits, JB has only agreed to pay your hourly rates below average in perpetuity. You will always be scrambling to rise to the level of a broad based average from last year- when they finally get around to enacting their review "each" year.
Another newsflash. When an airline is a startup, pilots advance to the left seat quickly. Then the movement slows. Its inevitable. Obviously quick upgrades are outliers when comparing incomes with a more established airline. Ask a newhire at JB today how long til upgrade - and I imagine it will be significantly longer than anyone hired in the first 5 years. You might want to open up your comparator and start looking at FO rates vs FO rates since we are talking about pilots hired today.
PS keep smiling as they have a new habit of firing pilots who don't toe the line. That should help seat movement for the bottom dwellers.
