GET A LIFE

Sure, it unified a passing union vote....if there is ever a drive. What's the status on that?

And I agree with you 100%. A lot of the negative guys on here harp on the same four issues. We get it. We're all aware of the issues. Yes, seniority won't move up as fast as the legacies because we don't have as many retirements. Yes, we don't have a leg to stand on in a merger. Yes, our health insurance sucks and can be changed on a whim. Yes, our pay and retirement isn't as good as the legacies. We'd rather stay and make our current job better. If you guys want to jump to a legacy, that's fine. Please, move the F on. We're tired of hearing about it.

It's an old used car salesman's trick.

Am I the only one that sees complete irony in a free pizza while they try to push everyone to be healthier?

I think even the free pizza has been cut back. Only saw it once at OSC last week.

I have seen a couple people on here disprove almost every complaint you have. Things are not perfect at Jetblue, but they are not at other companies either. I saw way to many people like you in the late 90's bash on UPS and SW. Now they wish they worked there. So say what you want and start taking personal stabs at me, I dont care. There are people that know more about this industry then you do that have never even flown an airplane. I think I said it in a previous post that just cause you fly an airplane, dosnt mean you know anything-or can predict whats going to happen in this industry. But what is going to happen are changes. Jetblue is making money, and is growing, and is hiring. Those are the FACTS, let me know when the other companies that you think are so superior start doing that, without goverment assistance.
Can you refute anything I have posted? I know the truth hurts, reality can be difficult for many.

I bashed UPS or WN...huh? Wth?

I'm a JetBlue pilot, I've seen a steady decline in the decade I have been here. I want to make it a better place to work. You're ****ed because you have no answers for the facts presented. What do YOU think we should do....shut up and color?

Are you really saying the legacy airlines are now thriving because of government loans?

Open your eyes and ask your fellow JetBlue pilots.

Maybe there is a problem with "legacy carriers". Maybe the 1940's buisness model they use is not working anymore. I dont know, your obiviously the expert, maybe you should start your own airline and operate it just like American and United. LOL, could you imagine a company starting in todays market with a plan like that. The only reason the big legacies are still around is because they are too big for the goverment to let them fail. I really do hope that someday they start hiring in mass numbers. I have been hearing anytime now for about 3 years, we shall see. That way everyone that dosnt like JetBlue can leave.
Calm down skippy. It seems the legacy carriers are doing just fine now. Do the math, big retirements are around the corner everywhere except JetBlue.

Why don't you try educating yourself, read Flying The Line, Flying the Line 2, Hard Landing and come back and share your wisdom with us.

This is the most INSANE post in this thread!

In the past decade, JetBlue has gone from NOTHING to 2,500 pilots!!! While in the past decade all of the legacy carriers have shrunk, furloughed, given massive paycuts and used bankruptcy to steal away retirement pensions.

Where have you been?

The pay used to be so poor, we got denied jumpseats because of it. Now many Captains are making 200K a year.....at a "discount airline!"

Did you not take any business classes in college? Did you go to college? Don't you remember all the case studies on how businesses lose the personal touches as it grows in size? You must have got hired when it was New Air and a college degree wasn't really necessary because New Air was forecasted to be "just another start up."

Ernst pretty much already said everything I wanted to.

The post about me returning to my management job: that's funny.

Meanwhile another guy implied I don't have a college degree... Ok. I will try harder to make my post easier for you to understand.

Just because I don't agree with your negative opinions on every topic dosnt mean I am in management, new to this career, or uneducated. I entered this career very informed and sought out a job at JetBlue. That choice was based on believing JetBlue is a great company and is going places. I have a feeling that those of you who insist on telling others how much they should hate their job had false expectations when you entered this career. Probably thought, or we're told, you would be an international Captain by age 45 and make 350k a year. Look I am sorry your so disappointed in your career, sorry you hate your job. It's not like you have a contract, quit! It's that simple. Change careers. Nobody here will miss you. But realize a lot of people on this forum are here cause they want to work for JetBlue or are excited about starting here soon. You guys were bit**ing a year ago about the same stuff. WE GET IT YOU DON'T LIKE JETBLUE.

I wonder how many guys who are itching to get to JB will continue to seek employment at a carrier that has better pay, retirement, profit sharing, work rules, more retirements and better health care?

It may be better than your regional airline, but several legacies are better than JB. Will you continue your job search after getting hired at JB?

Don't believe all that fluff about the open door policy either. I have had that at every airline I've worked at (9 total), union or non-union.

Let's be clear...management has one objective - Profit. Along with all the spin we get from the top makes this team more devious than management at the legacy airlines. They have royally screwed us on 2013 health insurance, but tell us that we are going to save money. They tout that they got the pay review done ontime this year (only because they didn't want the new UAL rates included in the comparison). Look, they are just doing their job. It's what we should expect a management team to do. The pilots here are the ones to blame for the situation JB pilots find themselves in now.

So, your choice....table scraps or a nice steak dinner.
