Look skippy, it's rather obvious you are new to this business. Once one legacy carrier went into bankruptcy they all followed to obtain a competitive cost structure. The industry has evolved with deregulation and the proliferation of international travel. To think JetBlue is better is any better then these carriers because it hasn't been through bankruptcy is foolish. Do you even know the history of JetBlue? This place was precariously close to bankruptcy 5 years ago. Had Lufthansa not bailed JetBlue out we would have teeterd rather close to bankruptcy. Study history, don't thumb your nose at it.

Uh, ok. I guess the way some people interpet things is different. In the history I have looked at Jetblue is a great company. I am getting so tired of about 5-8 people constantly ragging on this company, you all are bunch of know it all's, that really know nothing. I have seen a couple people on here disprove almost every complaint you have. Things are not perfect at Jetblue, but they are not at other companies either. I saw way to many people like you in the late 90's bash on UPS and SW. Now they wish they worked there. So say what you want and start taking personal stabs at me, I dont care. There are people that know more about this industry then you do that have never even flown an airplane. I think I said it in a previous post that just cause you fly an airplane, dosnt mean you know anything-or can predict whats going to happen in this industry. But what is going to happen are changes. Jetblue is making money, and is growing, and is hiring. Those are the FACTS, let me know when the other companies that you think are so superior start doing that, without goverment assistance.

Maybe there is a problem with "legacy carriers". Maybe the 1940's buisness model they use is not working anymore. I dont know, your obiviously the expert, maybe you should start your own airline and operate it just like American and United. LOL, could you imagine a company starting in todays market with a plan like that. The only reason the big legacies are still around is because they are too big for the goverment to let them fail. I really do hope that someday they start hiring in mass numbers. I have been hearing anytime now for about 3 years, we shall see. That way everyone that dosnt like JetBlue can leave.

These 5-8 guys are here are the ones sitting around the crewrooms trying to convince people who really love flying for JetBlue that their job actually sucks. They are in the crashpads complaining about an unproductive trip....when they had 24 hours in Aruba! Or complaining about the hotel in St. Thomas that "the resort is not close to anything!" These guys will fuss and whine throughout their entire career, and will put themself in an early grave. Does JetBlue have problems? Yes. Does JetBlue have things that are really great? Yes. But these 5-8 guys are here are mentally incompetent when it comes to having the ability to decipher what's a worthy complaint. Instead, they take the negative angle to every single possible scenario and believe everything is a plot, conspiracy, a let down. The honest truth is these guys on here are simply pathetic, absolutely pathetic.

Vote for the Union, and quit whining like a little girl.

As I type this, I'm watching people jump for joy on wheel of fortune, who just won a 2 night getaway to Cancun. Yet, I fly with guys who bitxh and whine the whole way to Cancun about how inconsiderate our company is for giving us a trip with a show time too early, or not providing a crew meal enroute to CUN! What is wrong with this crowd? Meanwhile, contestants on wheel of fortune are winning the "the trip of a lifetime." Unbelievable, un-freaking-believable.

What "facts" have you disproven?

The reality is those who post truths about JetBlue are seen a negative but the truth doesn't fit into your perfect utopian JetBlue. The statistics posted about pay and benefits, growth of other airlines or career progression at JetBlue are factual. You perceive a good working environment to mean a good career. Had you read any of the MWW whites pages you would see that is exactly why the ad firm and JetBlue intended. Spin the modest growth and make employees feel as if the have a voice and most will forgo unionization.
You clearly do not understand the bankruptcy process the airlines went through or the 1940's.

I think you need to return to your management position and stay of threads for which you clearly have no knowledge or experience.

You really think the vast majority of Pilots are content????

Dude, YOU need to ask around about current politics. There is ONE particulary SERIOUS issue ongoing right now and it involves not 5-8, but approx 1000 Pilots. And, that's just ONE issue.


Ask around. Get educated!
