Think about it, with a CBA the company would know exact costs for the duration of the contract. They may not want to say they support a union, but their actions really speak loud and clear.
I have been thinking the same.

I disagree, I think they have seen what they can get away with and now they are pushing one more issue. A cba is years away even if it were voted in today. They already have years of savings by stalling. Its actually a genius move if you think about it. They think a cba is inevitable at some point so pass off low pay and make the employees bear the burden of benefits right? What's the worse thing that can happen in their eyes? A union, but in the meantime see how much of a doo doo samich we can feed them and see if they will eat it. If i'm a bettin man Im taking the side of management because they have been winning this one for years and the employees keep taking it. I'm all for the pilots but union drives have failed miserably and I just don't understand the mentality that the company will arbitrarily look out for you. Not smart.

I think you are absolutely correct. Arrogant incompetence on their part.

The latest PVC and R&I committee emails were very informative. JetBlue is looking out for leadership and not the employees who make the airline run.

Still believe that JetBlue is different? Still believe in JetBlue values?

For the recent guys/gals that are going through, or have completed, long term training, how was it? AQP correct? Are newhires being typed in their aircraft?

I thought the FAA w/the help of our elected officials said all 121 pilots had to be typed? What's up w/that?

I personally believe JB pilots are pu$$ies and will never organize. After being here for a while now, I fly with guys that absolutely clueless about CBA. On one hand we have a bunch of pro union guys that are bunch of bullies and have no idea how to convey the message to those that are confused. The top 30% Don't care because they make over 200K, get overrides on Check airman positions, collect their USAF, Navy, etc, retirement and medical, and like their lifestyle, so they will always vote NO. They don't give a rat's @ss about the rest of the guys here, trying to understand why we should pay 4 time more for health care. Then we have a bunch of regional FOs with no PIC, that used to fly turbo props and think JB is a mission to Mars now, and say "I was ALPA, I paid my dues, and I got nothing in return" after like 2 year of service - YES, they know what it is to pay dues, I'm sick to my stomach listing to those idiots! So we left with about 3-5 % of those that came from other services, corporate etc! Stuck in between, confused, and no body is trying to explain what it is that we fighting for. They see 2-3% of their pay going to union, but don't understand why? They believe if ALPA is voted in, the light will go out and JB will go out of business. What's the alternative you may ask? Show up, do your job, save money, don't get mixed in to this BS and wait for legacies to start hiring and then get the f@ck out of here!!! JB is not destination carrier anymore, it's an upgrade to regionals. Just like other BS airlines out there - Spirit, VA, Allegiant Air, Kalitta, Atlas, Southern Air, Frontier, Sun Country, etc. Drink blue juice, smile, show up on time, and don't question the status quo. You'll do just fine. I like the schedule, collect my paycheck and wait for next step. Still recommend JB if you are regional captain!!! Long term Career - ???

With respect to former regional pilots here at JetBlue, many of these folks (including myself) see what's happening particularly the butchering of our healthcare insurance. And thankfully many of us will vote yes to a union. Lets get this show on the road!
