I agree. I am generally supportive of a union here. But, some of these guys methods is really disappointing.

And ROIC is not show-casing this place for sale. It is way of attracting and retaining investors in our stock and increasing the value of our stock. This would have the effect of making us more expensive/too expensive to potential hostile take-over competitors.

Now you can make the argument that ROIC is way of getting us to be more acceptable to cheap benefits, but to say ROIC is help SELL jetBlue shows a lack of understanding of the situation.

Sorry Nurse. I don't want to force my will upon you. For that matter, not distort your posts.
The democracy has spoken at JB about the pilot union. I accept that. It doesn't mean I shouldn't participate in forum discussions about where we stand.

Ok, fine. The Industry is not for the faint of heart. Maybe we will hear that line when a pivotal moment arrives at JB.

How about, "I personally would like to see JB remain organic, stand alone"? Read between the lines.

Well, I guess if we do get aquired, you will get that CBA and pilot retirement numbers you are looking for.

Bright side and all.

Right now we won't. So, with that mindset we should just accept the slow erosion and falling behind of our QOL. Just happy to have a job.

At some point you stop running and stand up for what you deserve.

BTW, Lake, spoke with my rep tonight.....un-freakin-believeable!!! I knew what was going on, but even this conversation went beyond that. I agree with ya, every person should call their silo rep and have a heart to heart. Even if your eyes are wide open, you'll be surprised.

I certainly have not said you should not participate. It is the rhetoric here and elsewhere that I and others find frustrating. Just look at Presidential Campaigns.
Change is inevitable be it good or bad. We must work to move it foward in a positive direction. For me retirement and health benefits are two areas we must deal with, whether we presently have a union or not.
We often feel that the world does not turn fast enough. In the last 25 years we have seen the fall of the Soviet Union and the end of Apartheid in South Africa neither of which I believed would happen in my lifetime.
For me I will put my faith in God and continue to work towards the positive.
