Moral of the story: don't read anything into lines being painted on the ground. They were going to paint E190 lines in Memphis, and suddenly everyone thought 9E was getting 190s......

I got the call from the "pool manager", awesome guy. We talked for about an hour. He asked if I had any questions so I asked how many were in front of me in the pool. I interviewed 13 Oct 1330 and I'm number 5. Certainly made my day. Latest rumor is late summer early fall to resume training.

Latest System bid is out to be effective by September 1st. No movement at all. No vacancies in any seat.

As expected, considering we have already been told hiring has stopped for the summer. Next System Bid should be out beginning of June, and that would have vacancies starting Sept 2012 timeframe. There should be some movement on that bid, and hiring is projected to resume in the fall.

I understand JetBlue was hiring extra to stay ahead of the rest rules announcement. When it was announced that the rest rules would not take place for 2 more years, hiring then was held back. I have also heard that the pool will most likely be flushed out this fall. That's only 6 months away. Many new planes coming on property then.
How bout that 2.2% payraise system wide today?! Glad to see the company come through as promised.
