"Latest and Greatest" about jetBlue

With all due respect, the JAOC needs to put a muzzle on people like you. OC members like you who personally insult pilots because they don't see eye to eye with you. Every JB pilot knows how important each election is -(see the 97% voter turn out) respect your fellow pilot's opinions even if you don't agree with them... If the JAOC truly intends to 'provide substantial information' then let the info speak for itself...

Nice try. Im sorry you can't handle the truth. One major problem we have is pilots want to believe management is doing the right thing and telling the truth. You like to think managements rhetoric about living the values applies to someone other than yourself. While we have pilots who refuse to see the truth or acknowledge the facts the JAOC, this time around, will do a better job of getting the information out there. Some times we have to yank peoples head out of the sand. Gentle coaxing allowed many to wallow in continued ignorance.
Last time around Jetblue allowed the BoB's to use the email server while ALPA was not. This put the information sharing at a disadvantage. Jetblue spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on flyers, mailers and associated propaganda while ALPA tried to let the facts speak for themselves. Unfortunately the facts did not get out.

With all do respect. If you all want to win the election, you need to appeal to the moderates. The extreme ends are easy: the hard corp ALPA haters you will never bring over to your side. The hard corp union lovers are a shoe-in. What you need to do, is realize that the moderates are your swing vote. And the hard corp rhetoric turns them off. The moderates enjoy working at JetBlue, they see a bright future, most have worked for several failed CBA airlines in the past, and they don't want to start over again, because a bunch of hard corp fanatical ALPA lovers what to reduce the efficiency of the company.
If you can change your JAOC message to how you will work with the company to fight for what is best for both the pilots and JetBlue then you have a chance. Personally, if I were you all, I would bring back JBPA with a message that includes keeping our competitive advantage over other airlines, while still trying to improve things for our pilot group. Or convince folks that your ALPA MEC will not let National incluence JetBlue's MEC vision and efforts.
But whatever you do, you need to get rid of the name calling and accusations. Change your tone, appeal to the moderates and you will win. Keep the standard ALPA name calling and blame game, and you will lose respect and more importantly you will lose peoples vote. It's difficult to be humble, but it will pay dividends in the long run.

Lake, here's the problem. When you start statements out with "Nice try. I'm sorry you can't handle the truth" people don't even listen to what you say after that. I'm 100% in the corner of a CBA at jetBlue, but if the OC starts conversations out like that, management won't even have to pull any tricks. The drive will kill itself because the OC will seem like they're looking down their noses at everyone.
"I'm sorry you feel that way, but here's how I see the situation" doesn't come off as badass, but it's more likely to get someone to listen to your side....

Barger just cashed in $91,000 in grants in the past few weeks to pad his pay. We still have pilots on disability who can't afford to pay their COBRA insurance. To be honest you can shove your sensitivity issues where the sun doesn't shine. The last two union votes, one for JBPA and one for ALPA, would have fixed this.

Don't sit by and let the chips fall where they may, be an active participant in your career. Management and the BOD will do what's best for them, so should you!

What is wrong with you? Your attitude is so horrible and cancerous to our pilot group and the OC. You want a CBA? Then just disappear & vote when the time comes. YOUR bad attitude as well as a few others ruined the last drive. I appreciate your passion, but the HATE that emanates from you is sickening and doesn't belong, nor is welcomed, here. Go back to Bluepilots and hate the world over there.

So it's ok for our pilots to be out on disability and not afford to make their insurance payments. That's ok to to you while Barger cashes in on grants? Pointing out these FACTS is somehow hateful? Calling people out who approve of this is mean? Absolutely pathetic. This is when all the rhetoric about culture and values rears its ugly head.
