"Latest and Greatest" about jetBlue
#2102
I do not come on here as much anymore, mainly due to past negativity, and useless attacks. It's usually confined and surrounded by a small minority and without naming anyone here or past airline post, all one has to do is research and the same names come up complaining. No airline is perfect, however I personally would like to mention that Ive always looked at the glass half full, take what we have and attempt to make a realistic improvement that I may contribute at the time without sacrificing the core value of my decision to come here in the first place. This applied to all airlines I have worked and some were pretty sh--ty. Needless to say, this may not be utopia, however, I personally am pretty dam happy here and 99 % of the folks I fly with feel the same. There's a reason why every other airline employee has positive things to say of B6 and the reason is US. Just my two cents, new peeps, welcome, have fun, contribute and keep B6 flying the way its known for. Thats my positive spin folks. Cheers!

I'm really glad to see JetBlue is letting you guys know you have officially made it past phase II. Waiting in a pool where you know there is a class date coming at some point is a thousand times better than sitting in purgatory dreading the sight of any FedEx truck that happens to come down your street. Congrats to all of you.

The point is not a simple technicality. It is about having some ACTUAL experience within jetblue before arguing what is best for us and our pilots. It is not about being a jetblue pilot, it is about EXPERIENCING the operation, our pay, and our benefits before trying to tell us what is best for us(by taking sides on our important debated issues).
On Wednesday, at 7:00, I will welcome you aboard. I will not automatically or immediately value your opinion because you have spent 30 seconds in the training center.
On the other hand, congratulations and welcome aboard. I think you will like it here.

Lake,
I'll chime in on this one. Getting rid of premium pay will be Marusters down fall. They may gain something in the short term, but in the long run B6 will lose its competitive advantage of being the most productive pilot group in the industry. It would also be the nail in the coffin for representation, unless they offered industry leading base hourly rates to make up the difference in premium loss. As far as tying pay to NPS, what a total joke, there would be no fair way to capture the data and it would open them up to either legal action or again the nail in the CBA coffin. It will never happen, in my opinion.

Very valid points. Management knows a CBA is going to happen. It's when, how and who.

[QUOTE=GOGOGAJIT;1126217]I'm not so sure that we are out of purgatory? The email is somewhat confusing! The first paragraph simply states that they haven't forgotten about us and that we have successfully completed Phase 1 and are still in Phase 2 awaiting final outcome and ultimately a class assignment! So I guess technically we are not yet past Phase 2. However, the last sentence says thanks for your patience as you await your class date!!?? I'm not counting my chickens just yet as I hopefully get a class date to confirm. Nonetheless I am happy to finally hear something myself instead of nervous post readings trying to figure out where ....
