I can guarantee I've been here twice as long and worked twice as hard to make the smallest improvements. What have you done? Get on a committee and volunteer then come talk to me. We just work together, don't take that for anything else. But as I said before I have worked on committees and both OC'c to try and make a difference only to see 1193 pilots vote down our collective futures. Also, when you go out on disability come talk to me about what it's like and how you are treated.
As for the "idiots" comment that is my opinion of people who fail to see what management does to us on a day in day out basis. If you disagree that perfectly fine. I personally asked moak during a conference call about the assessment and he said we would not be assessed. It wasn't past practice just as the president vetoing a contract voted in by the pilots even though he signs it. Also, Jetblue did say in emails from CS that the pilot group would be subject to the assessment should ALPA be voted in. His emails are all on record.

I know. Hawiian is a great airline, but when are we going to do this stuff (or similar) ourselves.

And this arrangement can continue indefinitely with the approval of the PVC without input from the pilot group. As we have no enforceable scope this little caveat was added to prevent any unnecessary litigation.

Well nowthat is a great question!? I don't imagine any time soon. It's like trying to put the magic blue smoke back into the computer... Even if we organized today, got a CBA in say 5ish years. Then scope out all domestic wide body flying, and have the company agree to it.

Then there's the whole we don't have a plane that'll fly that far. That's covered in the 5 doc's though.

To answer a question with a question, how long is our interline agreement with hawian? Betcha they don't tell us that on hellojetblue.

Can you smell that? That's the magic blue smoke fizzling out of T5...
"You won't even be able to fit a wide body at T5" Mike Barger "you guys are worried about nothing."

Paranoia everywhere! Does Jblue have a route to HNL that they just outsourced on a contract? NOPE! Relax. How about when ALPA backed Comair loses everything only to watch Delta mainline flying go to GoJet! Nice work CBA and Union! Time to panic? ALPA doesn't think so. Did Moak call in to a conference call to tell Comair they were screwed? Nope. Didn't they "WIN" when they beat big Delta? Ask a furloughed Comair guy where he thinks he'll be in a year. Good luck with your black eye.

To say that a union would have prevented this is a stretch. Not that I don't want one, but it won't fix this...
